The Mouse Trap

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered — he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning. “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” The pig sympathized, but said, “I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.”

The mouse turned to the cow and said “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” The cow said, “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house — like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral; the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

The next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember — when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage and help one another.

"FUNNY HOW"........

Funny How...

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says.

Funny how someone can say, "I believe in God" but still follow Satan who, by the way, also "believes" in God.

Funny how we are quick to judge but not to be judged.

Funny how you can send a thousand "jokes" through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through Cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week.

Are you laughing?

Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.

Are you thinking?

How Are You Doing?

I have not been posting much the last few days because my cancer has been giving me a very hard time. The pain is getting worse. I spend most of my time in bed now. I am doing a little better today so I wanted to see whats going on with me friends on Aidpage. This site has been very good for me because I am able to share my thoughts, opinions, troubles, and blessings.I also enjoy reading and commenting on whats going on with all of you.

Most of us joined this site in order to get support from others, for the trials we are going through. I have read many of your blogs. Your trials and tribulations have became a part of my life through my daily prayers. I have witnessed many of you ,who have problems of your own reach out to other people with needs.

I am very interested in  those of you who visit this site every day, and I would like to know how you are all doing. Sometimes we get so concerned with the problems of others, we forget that others would like to know how we are coping with our situation. It would be an encouragement to see how things are working out for you, and if things are not going so well we need to know that too. I see people post their need, and then never hear of that need again. I would like to know if the need has been meet, the problem solved, or the sadness lifted. I encourage all of you to post a few words and let us know "how you are doing."  Thanks for listening and I look forward to seeing your comments. God Bless you all.

About ShuShu

I have a story on my space . com

My blog .myspace.com name is "The Shu-Shu"

My heart is broken.  I have raised my grandson a great deal of the time only he goes back and forth.  I do the best I can to provide care and love, stability and a stable environment only to have the work undone by living with this parents.  I guess this is just how life is sometimes?   I would appreciate hearing how other grandparents deal with this yo-yo life.
